Autumnal farm shoot collaboration
Chatting away to the amazing ladies from SHE Event Styling one day and I made a throwaway comment about how amazing to host a shoot on our farm...fast forward a few months and here are the exciting results!
Whilst there may not be any cows in the pictures, they and the sheep were watching us with interest throughout the day!
The inspiration for the showpiece cake came from many areas...
Macrame is feeling a resurgence at the moment and I was intrigued how this could be created in cake form
The gold is inspired by old beaten copper pans, the uniqueness of the texture is intriguing and makes you want to run your fingers over it!
The deep claret colours give truly autumnal feels, contrasting beautifully with Night Watch coloured velvet ribbon (think Dulux colour of the year 2019 - yes you're all going to be painting your walls this shade next year!)
And *those* toffee apples...
It makes your mouth water to just look at them! Mounted upon the most amazing smelling cinnamon sticks, smothered in crunchy sweet caramel and interspersed with zesty mixed peel. They are heaven on a stick!
They weren't our only sweet treats of the day...keep your eyes peeled as we release part two of the shoot in the coming weeks including a cake suspended from a tree - yes you did read that correctly! Can't wait to show you it all...but to see the non-cake parts of the shoot simply click on the SHE Event Styling link below to take you to see more of these talented ladies' work!
